Dale A. Munjone
Dale A. Munjone, 74, of Palmer Township and formerly of Northampton, died Jan. 28, 2021, at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia. He was the husband of Paula H. (Onuschak) Munjone for 49 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Michael and Eleanore (Leiser) Munjone.
He was a 1964 Dieruff High School graduate. He earned an associate degree in applied science from Lehigh County Community College.
He was in the U.S. Army in Okinawa, Japan, during the Vietnam War. He earned expert missileman and sharpshooter rifle badges and Good Conduct and National Defense service medals.
He was a machinist at Ingersoll Rand, Mack Trucks and Beth Forge. He retired from Choice Precision in 2008.
He was a member of Blessed Virgin Mary Church, then of St. Jane Frances De Chantel Catholic Church.
He was a 2015 lung transplant recipient.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 426, Coplay, for 26 years. He was a lifelong member at Fearless Fire Company 14, Allentown, and Tri Boro Sportsmen Club, Northampton.
He bowled in various bowling leagues in Allentown. He was a founding member of the Left Field Lounge during his softball and baseball coaching years with the Northampton Athletic Association. He was a member of Mopar Madness of the Lehigh Valley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Vincent M. and his spouse Timmery of Palmer Township; a daughter, Angela M. Delgado and her spouse Ruben of Palmer Township; five grandchildren, Molly, Mary, Eleanore, James and Stella; and a brother, Edward Leiser of Whitehall.
Services are private. There will be a celebration of life to be announced this summer.
