Blount, Mortimer named to dean’s list
More than 2,300 undergraduate students at Coastal Carolina University were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester, including Aja Blount, a communication major from Northampton, and Amanda Mortimer, a middle grades education pre-major, elementary education pre-major, from Whitehall.
Coastal Carolina University is a dynamic, public comprehensive liberal arts institution located in Conway, just minutes from the resort area of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Coastal Carolina University offers baccalaureate degrees in 94 major fields of study.
Among CCU’s graduate-level programs are 27 master’s degrees, two educational specialist degrees and the doctorates in education and in marine science: coastal and marine systems science. Local residents were among more than 1,800 students named to the University of Scranton’s dean’s list for the 2020 fall semester. The dean’s list recognizes students for academic excellence. A student must have a GPA of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours during the semester to make the dean’s list.

A total of 1,543 students have been named to the dean’s list at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania for the fall 2020 semester of the 2020-21 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Students eligible for the dean’s list are those who have attained a 3.5 quality-point average or better and are enrolled full time. The letter grade “B” earns three quality points per credit, and the grade “A” earns four quality points per credit.
