If spring cleaning of clothing and linen closets is on your to-do list, please keep in mind an upcoming collection as an opportunity to find good homes for your unwanted items as well as a way to help local Scouts.
Scouts in Troop 31 plan to host a used clothing and linens drive in the parking lot of the Upper Milford Township municipal building, 5671 Chestnut St., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 27.
Donations of usable and wearable clothing and shoes are welcome as well as handbags, belts, hats, scarves, gloves, ties, backpacks, baby accessories and briefcases. Household linens including blankets, tablecloths, bed sheets, drapes, curtains, pillows, towels, quilts and comforters also can be donated. Donations of stuffed animals and bicycles also can be made.
Some items will not be accepted; information is available on the township website and Facebook page.
March 27 is also the registration deadline for drive-by visits from the Easter Bunny hosted by the Western District Fire Company.
The event is planned noon to 2 p.m. April 3, according to a fire company flyer and is open to Upper Milford Township residents only. Those wishing to register may call, email, text or send a Facebook message with a home address. Visit uppermilfordfire.com.
The Vera Cruz Community Association plans to hold an Easter egg hunt 1 p.m. April 3 at Mystic Chain Park, Main Road East.
Upper Milford Township Supervisors are scheduled to meet 7 p.m. March 4, in person and via Zoom. Visit the township website www.uppermilford.net for information on registering for the meeting. The planning commission is scheduled to meet 7:30 p.m. March 29.
Lower Milford Township Supervisors will hold a workshop meeting March 4 and supervisors are to gather for their regular meeting March 18. A zoning hearing board meeting is scheduled March 24.
