Lina’s Cucina restaurant, 6301 Route 309, New Tripoli, recently donated lunch to the staff at Northwestern Elementary School.

“The staff enjoyed the 18 pizzas,” said Partners in Education President Erica Seither.

She was there for the first delivery.

In January, Phil and Maggie Campano, owners of Lina’s Cucina, reached out to the Partners in Education, parent support group for the school, to help coordinate a donated pizza lunch.

“They’re locals who love our community,” Seither said. “They wanted to show their support and gratitude and wanted everyone at NWE to know they’re appreciated while navigating this school year’s unique challenges.”

An invitation was created and emailed to the staff. Lunch was scheduled for delivery on Feb. 3, but postponed a week due to bad weather.

Maggie Campano and her son, Patrick, 9 months, delivered the first round of pizzas at 10:45 a.m.

Husband, Phil, made the second delivery at 11:30 a.m.

The Campanos made two deliveries because they wanted everyone to receive a warm lunch.

“This was such a sweet gesture. The staff sincerely appreciated it very much,” Seither said.
