Robert P. Shackett, 63, from New Tripoli, died on Feb. 21, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He and his wife, Debra A. (Weil) Shackett, were married 37 years.
Born May 26, 1957, in Germany, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Pauline (Miskielowicz) Shackett.
A 1975 graduate of Whitehall-Coplay High School, he was member of the Steamfitters Local Union 420, Philadelphia, working in construction for the last 40 years.
He was a member of Morgenland Church, Orefield.
A hard working, devoted husband, dad and grandpa, he will be forever remembered as a loving family man who loved spending time with his daughters and granddaughters whom he adored.
His friends will remember him as a kindhearted gentle soul who had a great sense of humor keeping those around him laughing.
Having a love for the arts, he enjoyed working pottery and stained glass, and having a zeal for life, he loved communing with nature and animals and in particular spending time with his horses.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by daughters Amanda K. Shackett at home, Christina M. Shackett of Astoria, N.Y.; brother James M. Shackett and his wife, Elizabeth, of Lincoln University; and granddaughters Lilly and Madelynn.
He was predeceased by a brother, David C. Shackett.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no public calling hours.
