Fighting Hunger: When you show your kindness, your actions can travel far
BY SHARI NOCTOR
Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative president
A couple times a year, I write about being kind to others. A simple smile, holding a door open for someone or calling someone just to say hello uplifts the human spirit and makes his or her day.
Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative has been so blessed with fantastic volunteers, great monetary and food donors and a very compassionate community who work together to alleviate hunger in the area.
My quote is always, “Whitehall-Coplay Hunger Initiative is making a difference in people’s lives.”
Our community is helping our community, and everyone involved with our programs has been touched in one way or another. Volunteers give their time and talents, donors give their treasures, and our guests give us smiles, tears and thankfulness that people truly care about them.
Everyone needs help in their lives at one time or another. Thank you all for your part in helping our community.
I gave you my quote and wanted to see what other quotes may be available to share. I found the following on the Internet from Reader’s Digest “50 Powerful Kindness Quotes That Will Stay With You” at tinyurl.com/9breubw8 and wanted to share some of them with you.
