Dr. Richard A. Bold, D.C., 78, of Allentown, died December 23, 2020, in his home.
Born in Denver, Colorado, he was a son of the late Arthur and Alice (Skoch) Bold.
He attended UCLA for pre-med. He learned to fly at age18.
Drafted in 1966, he was a pilot assigned to the USS Constellation, flying S2F and A7 Corsair planes and flew off of the carrier. He opted for a second tour during the Vietnam War, and was stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore.
He was a pilot for American Airlines and a police officer for the Culver City Police Department. He was a chiropractor at Parker Chiropractic College and a solo practitioner on Walbert Avenue and then on Tilghman Street. He owned, since 1993, West End Chiropractic. He worked one time at the Olympics. He was a chiropractor for the Allentown Police Department and for Allentown Fair entertainers.
He was a longtime member of Culver City Foshay Lodge # 467, Free and Accepted Masons.
