Every year first responders are struck and seriously injured or killed by motorists who fail to move over for an emergency vehicle. An emergency vehicle is any police, fire, ems, tow truckor road crew vehicle with its emergency lights flashing. Pennsylvania's new MoveOver Law goes into effect April 27. Motorists are required to move into the adjacent lane. If you are unable to do that safely then you are required to slow down to no more than 20 mph less than the posted speed limit. Help first responders go home to their families safely by slowing down and moving over.
