Robert N. Heffelfinger Sr., 56, of Allen Township, died Feb. 19, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, following a battle with lung cancer. He was the husband of Susan J. (Schmalzer) Heffelfinger for 33 years.

Born in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., he was a son of the late Nathan “Jack” and Elizabeth “Dianne” (Gause) Heffelfinger of Allen Township.

He was 1982 graduate of Northampton High School. He later attended trade school for taxidermy.

He was a self-employed professional taxidermist for 25 years.

He was a member of the Raccoon Club and was a life member of the Petersville and Lappawinzo gun clubs.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two sons, Robert Jr. of Northampton and Nathan of Corvallis, Ore.; nieces; and nephews.

Services will be private.
