Joan L. Dorner, 82, formerly of Coplay, died Feb. 16, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Julius Dorner for 58 years.

Born in Coplay, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Emma (Becks) Wechsler.

She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School.

She worked briefly at Household Finance, Allentown; and the Coplay Discount Department Store.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Coplay, and its Altar and Rosary Society.

She is survived by five children, Monica with David Unangst of Slatington, Lisa with Terry Rex of Newark, Del., Mark with Patie of Whitehall, Lydia with Gerald Carl of Walnutport and Matthew with Sangeeta of Whitehall; 12 grandchildren, Jared Unangst with Sara, Kiel Unangst with Delaina, T.J. Rex with Jess, Travis Rex with Ashley and Christopher Rex with Nora, Alyssa Tarburton with Hunter, Alexandra Dorner, Ava Dorner, Derek Carl, Mitchell Carl, Timothy Dorner and Shalini Dorner; six great-grandchildren, Julius, Augie, Leo, Ellis, Camdyn and Ayden; a brother, Joseph Wechsler of Albuquerque, N.M.; two sisters, Judith Reckmack of Coplay and Agnes Nickles with Joseph of Bethlehem; brothers- and sisters-in-law; nieces; and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Wechsler.

Services will be announced at a later date.
