Daniel P. Kozar

Daniel P. Kozar, 87, of Lower Macungie Township, died Feb. 19, 2021. He was the husband of Nancy L. Hollinger and the late Margaret A. (Carter) Kozar. He and Nancy observed their 16th wedding anniversary in July. Born in Shamokin, Northumberland County, he was the son of the late Adam A. and Helen E. (Kulick) Kozar.

He served his country honorably as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He was a senior project engineer at PPL for 33 years, retiring in 1995.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University and his Master of Science degree from Lehigh University, both in electrical engineering.

He was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Allentown.

He was an avid Penn State fan, enjoyed flying, playing golf, traveling with his wife and celebrating special occasions with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Daniel Jr. (Christine), of Germany, Victor (Sheila), of Middletown, Del., Michael (Geraldine), of Yardley; a daughter, Jacqueline McCandless (Dale), of Lehighton; a stepson, Robert McNabb III, of Breinigsville; a stepdaughter, Kimberly McNabb, of Allentown; grandchildren, Joey, Carter, Morgan, Megan, Max, Victor, Evan, Isabella, Jacob and Nora. He was predeceased by two brothers.

Contributions may be made to the church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. March 1 in St. Paul’s Roman Catholic. Church, 920 S. Second St., Allentown, 18103. A calling period for family and friends will be held 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the church. Social distancing will be observed and face coverings must be worn in the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
