The final sign-up dates for Coplay Sports baseball and softball are noon-2 p.m. March 6 and 6-8 p.m. March 13.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 18 S. Third St., is holding soup and bread gatherings 6 p.m. Wednesdays throughout Lent. Remaining dates are March 10, 17 and 24.

Billed as a socially distanced gathering over soup and bread and good conversation, volunteers typically have two or more soups available.

Donations are accepted.

There will be an Ironton Rail Trail work day 8 a.m. March 14 to help clean up the trail. Meet at the maintenance trailer on North Second Street in Coplay.

St. John’s Lutheran Church is holding a shepherd’s pie meal. The event’s curbside pickup is 4-5:30 p.m. March 27. Orders must be received by March 22.
