Larry “Smokey” N. Hartzell, 74, of Danielsville, died Jan. 28, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Linda D. (Henry) Hartzell for 40 years.

Born in Northampton, he was a son of the late Neil and Emma (Strohl) Hartzell.

He was retired from Hercules Cement Company, Stockerton, and worked previously for Martin Marrietta.

He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Indianland.

He was involved formerly in the Lehigh Township Fire Company.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brian Biechy and his wife Renee of Danielsville; three daughters, Karen and her husband Jay Brown of Lansdale, Sherri and her husband David Penchishen of Laurys Station and Jennifer and her husband Joseph Makovsky of Northampton; and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be private.
