Joan B. Filipak, 67, of Emmaus, died Feb. 12, 2021, at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Fred B. Filipak. They would have been married for 21 years on June 10. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Helen Morgenstern.

She worked for Lehigh Urology and Lehigh Neurology in the medical records department for many years.

She enjoyed horseback riding, watching the dolphins swim in the ocean and spending time with her beloved grandbabies.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Jason L. Ritter and his fiancée, Bobbi Jo Nelson, of Allentown; a daughter, Jennifer L. Ritter, of Salisbury Township; grandchildren, Jameson, Zayden and Cassidy.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to St. Luke’s Hospice.

A viewing will be held 2 to 3 p.m. Feb. 17 followed by a service 3 p.m. at the Sell-Herron Funeral Home, 1145 Lehigh St., Allentown.
