State Farm supports BASD STEM
State Farm has awarded $7,500 in funding to The Foundation for the Bethlehem Area School District to support the Project Lead the Way Engineering program at Liberty HS. The program exposes students to areas of study that they currently do not have an opportunity to pursue, and provides them with a foundation and proven pathway to college and career success.
The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics courses follow a proven, hands-on, real world problem solving approach to learning. Students learn and apply the design process, acquire teamwork and communication proficiency and develop organizational critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The STEM curriculum engages a network of community leaders, university affiliate and industry partners in STEM partnerships. Project Lead the Way allows them to explore engineering prior to determining their career and college pathways. For more information, visit https://basdwpweb.beth.k12.pa.us/thefoundation/
