Charette. Krohn ‘Forty Under 40’ honorees

Center for Humanistic Change Board member Ken Charette and Director of Development Theresa Krohn were selected by Lehigh Valley Business as the recipients of the Greater Lehigh Valley 2020 Forty Under 40 award.

They were chosen for their commitment to business growth, professional excellence and the community. They will be recognized at the Forty Under 40 awards reception and ceremony on April 22 at Bear Creek Resort

The event is sponsored by DeSales University’s ACCESS and Master of Business Administration programs. They will also appear in a special publication of the Forty Under 40 Awards in the April 20 Lehigh Valley Business publication.

Hettrick named center’s executive director

The board of directors of the Center for Humanistic Change selected Kristen Hettrick as the agency’s next executive director, effective Feb. 26. She will succeed Arlene J. Lund, CHC’s executive director since 2016, who will retire at the end of February.

Hettrick was most recently the senior director of Prevention and Student Assistance Programs at the Center. She collaborated with Lehigh and Northampton counties in the completion of the needs assessment as part of the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programming strategic planning efforts. She was, in Antigua, Guatemala, a health clinic manager and associate director of a children’s recreational educational camp.

She was an educational leader with adult literacy, family literacy with early childhood education and kindergarten through fourth grades summer learning programs. She has more than 35 years of corporate and nonprofit experience.
