Gerald L. Smith, 81, of Bethlehem,and a resident at Westminster Village, Allentown, died February 12, 2021. Born in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Irene (Miller) Smith. He was the husband of Arlene (Czipoth) Smith for 60 years. He attended real estate school through Penn State.

He was in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a real estate manager for Conrail and later Norfolk Southern for more than 35 years until he retired in 1996.

He was a member of Bethany U.C.C. Church, where he was an usher for many years.

He volunteered for 30 years in the sports office at Rauch Fieldhouse at Lehigh University.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Debra Smith and Suzanne Smith; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Harold Smith; and a sister, Ruth Varga.
