UPPER MACUNGIE: St. John’s Lutheran offering drive-through Ashes-to-Go

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1028 Main St., Fogelsville, is offering drive-through Ashes-to-Go 5-7 p.m. Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, in the church parking lot.
The pastor will wear a face mask and use a Q-tip for each individual. Plan to wear a mask, too.
There will be a service inside the church with Holy Communion.

Parkland Community Library, South Whitehall Township, will host a Teen Trivia Night at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 15.
The library’s new book club for adults, PCL Page Turners, will meet to discuss the novel “Behold the Dreamers” by Imbolo Mbue at 7 p.m. Feb. 16 via Zoom.
A Virtual Story Time with Miss Mary will be offered 10-10:30 a.m. on Feb. 17 via Zoom.
Miss Mary will read a story and there will be singing.
This story time is perfect for all ages but is geared toward kids age 5 and younger.
Join yoga instructor Deanna Nagle for her gentle yoga weekly series for adults 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 18 and Feb. 25 via Zoom. She will guide participants through a range of motions to improve energy and focus, decrease pain in the body, and calm the central nervous system.
Virtual Young Critics Book Club for third through sixth graders will meet 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 18 via Zoom to discuss the novel “Aru Shah and the End of Time” by Roshani Chokshi.
There will be a lively book discussion, games and more.
The library will host yoga instructor Larissa Noto, from The Lovely Little Lotus, for a Virtual Kids Yoga for children ages 4-10 at 4 p.m. Feb. 19 via Zoom.
A virtual Teen Dungeon and Dragons Night Zoom meeting will be offered 6-8 p.m. Feb. 22 through the website R20 for students in seventh through 12th grade.
Adults are invited to join library staff for its Dive into Databases video series 10:30 a.m. on Feb. 23 on Facebook.
They will provide tips and simple instructions for unlocking database features.
The library will host 1990s Trivia Night for adults 7 p.m. Feb. 23.
Kids in grades three through five are invited to join library staff for the Among Us for Kids game event 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 via Zoom.
Participants will play in a group of four to 10 players to complete tasks to find and defeat the impostor before time runs out.
Library staff will host Simply Creative Chef Rob for a Cook with Chef Rob event 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 on Zoom.
Learn how to make shrimp and broccoli lo mein.
