Rodney R. Altorfer, 65, of Whitehall, died at home Feb. 1, 2021. He was the husband of Debra K. (Becker) Altorfer for 25 years.
Born in Atlantic City, N.J., he was a son of Robert E. and Rose (Casciano) Altorfer of Whitehall.
He was a 1973 graduate of Whitehall High School. He was a 1977 graduate of Moravian College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in economics.
He worked in the trust department for the Bank of America for many years until he retired.
He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fullerton.
He was an Eagle Scout.
He was a life member of Fullerton Fire Company, Whitehall.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Szerencsits and his wife Sulia of Whitehall and Wayne Szerencsits and his wife Jonjere of Walnutport; 10 grandchildren, Nicole, Cody V., Cody S., Leticia, Jennifer, IraIra, Gaberial, Ricardo, Tisha and Suliarys; three great-grandchildren, Jayden, Bryce and Rosie; a sister, Renee Leeuwenburgh and her husband Craig of California; an uncle, Robert Casciano and his partner Alieen, of Delabole; a sister-in-law, Barbara Conklin of Northampton; and a niece, Tina Marie Martin and her husband Rick, of Northampton.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
