Margaret T. Coringrato, 98, who resided at Luther Crest Independent Living, South Whitehall, died Feb. 2, 2021.

Formerly of Whitehall, she and her husband, Ettore J. Coringrato, were married 61 years at the time of his death on Aug. 1, 2017.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Neuherz) Werner.

She graduated from Allentown High School in 1942.

A member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Roman Catholic Church, Whitehall, she had been a devoted member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Even after this group stopped meeting, she continued praying her daily rosary to the Blessed Mother.

Her survivors include daughters Joan Shafer, wife of Jeffrey Shafer, of Whitehall and Jane O’Malley, wife of Anthony O’Malley Jr., of Center Valley; son Ettore J. Jr., husband of Janet Coringrato of Fogelsville; sisters-in-law Natalie Brown, Jean Brinker, and Janet, Mary, Patricia and Carol Coringrato; grandchildren Lauren Shafer Greenberg (David), Benjamin Shafer (Amanda), Brian Coringrato, Katherine Coringrato, Jill O’Malley, and Ryan O’Malley; and great-granddaughter Sloane Shafer.

She was predeceased by brothers Joseph, Walter, William, Alfred and Frank and her sister, Mary.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be presented to St. Elizabeth Regional School, 433 Pershing Blvd., Whitehall, PA 18052.
