Dorothy G. (Kehl) Geiger, 87, of Macungie, died Jan. 10, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. She was the loving wife of Raymond C. Geiger, to whom she was married for 67 years. Born in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late John and Alice (Reppert) Kehl, but was raised by her aunt and uncle, Elsie (Reppert) and John Rhoads, after the death of her mother.
She was employed by Funk’s Apple Orchard, Superior Knitting Mills, Royal Manufacturing and The Wax Works until her retirement.
She was a member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bowers, where she had been an active volunteer and helped with the baking and church crafts over the years.
She was a member of the Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Topton, Seisholtzville Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, The Red Hat Society and was a Girl Scout leader at Huff’s Church when her daughters were young.
She enjoyed nature and gardening. She was very talented, making many crafts and candles over the years. She was known for her crocheting and making wedding candles. She was the organizer of games and prizes for the annual family Christmas party. She adored her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband; daughters, Loretta J. wife of the late Walter Marsteller Sr., of Allentown, Pearl R. and her husband, Charles Harmany Jr., of Allentown and Brenda K. and her husband, Todd Bohlen, of Center Valley; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren; siblings from the family she was raised by, Clyde Rhoads and Mary Stoudt. She was predeceased by 10 biological siblings and eight siblings from the Rhoads family.
