Andrew T. Metrick, 68, a resident of Fellowship Manor, died Feb. 3, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Born Nov. 2, 1952, in Hazleton, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary E. (Mackin) Metrick.

A graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology, he was a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania.

Employed at PPL in the power production and electrical utilities departments for 32 years before retiring in 2014, he served on the National Electric Lighting Code Committee and the National Electrical Safety Code Committee.

He was a member at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield.

An avid golfer and bowler, he enjoyed traveling, going to auctions, and he loved telling jokes.

His survivors include children Nina Metrick and her husband, Bryan Knauss, of Emmaus, Thomas Metrick of Allentown, Christine Metrick of Coplay; sister Marilyn M. Yanek and her husband, John, of Schnecksville; and granddaughter Lyra. He was predeceased by a brother Myron M. Metrick.
