The Lehigh Valley Health Network provided COVID-19 vaccines to close to 1,000 people Jan. 27 at Dorney Park, South Whitehall.
Using the same model as the annual influenza drive-thru inoculations, scheduled participants were directed through the Lincoln Avenue entrance of the park.
From there, volunteers and Dorney Park security personnel directed each automobile to the tents where the vaccine was to be administered.
According to Brian Downs, public information officer, Lehigh Valley Health Network, the site could administer up to 5,000 vaccines per day if needed.
As of Jan. 27, all available appointments had been scheduled for that day.
