John W. Soldo, 84, of Bethlehem, died January 30, 2021. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Rudi and Mary (Puhan) Soldo. He was the husband of Sheila (Young) Soldo for 61 years.

He was a Liberty HS graduate.

He was a retired auto parts manager, and worked for Hauser, Dick Milham and Faulkner Chevrolet businesses.

He was a parishioner of Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church.

He was a member of the Heights Athletic and the North End Wanderers Athletic Associations. He bowled at the Fountain Hill Beneficial Society. He was for many years a volunteer baseball manager at Lehigh Little League and a softball umpire for the City of Bethlehem League.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, John B. and his wife Dr. Catherine Soldo of Owensboro, Kentucky; Kevin of Bethlehem and Jeffrey and his wife Lori Soldo of Easton; two grandchildren, Jerome Soldo and Christiane Soldo, both of Kentucky; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Helen Steever; and a brother, Rudy Soldo.
