Harassment
A 76-year-old female, of Macungie, allegedly harassed two people at a residence in the 5200 block of Green Lawn Drive, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Jan. 7.
Theft
Two $50 VISA prepaid gift cards were discovered to be missing from a greeting card mailed to a residence in the 2000 block of Brook Circle, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The mail appeared to be opened. The incident was reported Nov. 25, 2020.
Retail theft
A 39-year-old Alburtis man allegedly removed a glass bottle of beer from a display at Giant, 7150 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 7:45 a.m. Jan. 3, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The male drank the beer in the store, discarded the empty bottle in a seafood refrigerator and left the store. He was taken into custody at his residence after he was spotted on store security surveillance video.
Hit and run
An Allentown driver was not hurt when his vehicle hit a pole when he swerved to avoid a vehicle that cut him off near the intersection of Hamilton Boulevard/U.S. Route 222 and Kressler Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:04 p.m. Jan. 5, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver was northbound on U.S. Route 222 in the right lane when a vehicle cut in front of him while making a left turn onto Kressler Road. The Allentown driver went off the road and struck a traffic control pole. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The turning vehicle was not found at the accident scene or nearby, according to police.
