MyLVHN has COVID-19 vaccine sign-up

The Pennsylvania Department of Health has announced that phase 1a of its vaccination plan has now expanded to include people age 65 and older, as well as people ages 16-64 with serious medical conditions that make them more at risk for severe illness.

The LVHN patient portal, MyLVHN, is the easiest path to vaccination. Everyone with a MyLVHN account will be preregistered for a COVID-19 vaccine.

The patient receives a notification when eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. The patient can schedule a vaccine appointment on MyLVHN.

A MyLVHN account can be created at MyLVHN.org. A person does not need to be a patient of LVHN, LVPG or Coordinated Health to open a MyLVHN account.

As of Jan. 21, the supply of vaccine has not expanded. The number of doses available for distribution continues to be limited. LVHN is committed to administering the vaccine to all members of the community as quickly as possible when supply is available.

The Pennsylvania Department of Health determines the size and timing of each COVID-19 vaccine shipment based on the amount of vaccine the federal government allocates to Pennsylvania.

As of Jan. 21, the doses LVHN has are accounted for through scheduled appointments. However, people can sign up to be notified when turn to schedule an appointment. No information or codes are necessary.

LVHN has had drive-through flu shot clinics for more than 23 years. LVHN estimates it can vaccinate at least 5,000 per day when an adequate vaccine supply is provided.
