Asher D. Herman, 93, formerly of New Tripoli, died Jan. 29, 2021, in Cornerstone Living, Weisenberg Township.

He was the widower of Doris M. (Kriner) Herman.

Born in Fogelsville, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Irene M. (Dries) Herman.

A foreman with the former Schantz Orchard, now Jaindl Farms, Orefield, for 50 years, he served as past president of Fruit Growers Association of the Lehigh Valley.

His survivors include a daughter, Cindy Hughes (James) of New Tripoli and granddaughter, Kaitlyn A. Hughes, of Philadelphia.

He was predeceased by half-brothers John, Donald and Earl Herman and Junior Dries; and half-sister, Mildred Betz.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Feb. 6 in Keller Funeral Home, 1018 Church St., Fogelsville.

State guidelines will be followed limiting the number of people allowed inside the building.

Face masks will be required, and social distancing will occur.
