Joanne LaRue (Dittmar) Mooney, 87, of Egypt, died Jan. 14, 2021, after a battle with multiple myeloma. She was the wife of the late Earl Mooney for 63 years.
Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of Dolores Williams.
She worked at Lucent Tech for more than 20 years.
She volunteered for many years at Miller Memorial Blood Center, thrift shop and the Pioneers.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Catasauqua.
She is survived by four daughters, Deanna and her husband David Winch, Dianna Kraynick, Doreen and her husband Ed Painz and Denise Mooney; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty; and two brothers, David and Doug.
She was predeceased by a baby brother; a son-in-law, John Kraynick; and a granddaughter, Rachelle Kraynick.
