Eli D. Lambert Jr., 92, died Jan. 20, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital from complications related to COVID-19. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Hudsco) Lambert for 55 years.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Eli and Evelyn (Wolf) Lambert.
He was a 1946 graduate of Catasauqua High School. He was a 1950 graduate of Lafayette College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.
He was an engineer for Greiner Construction Company on the New Jersey turnpike. He then worked at the Fuller Company, Catasauqua, for 40 years where he was chief engineer of Greer Marine; Catasauqua plant manager; assistant manager, Allentown plant; assistant to the executive vice president; and chief of plant engineering. He retired in 1990.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, where he was on church council and the finance committee for many years.
He was a member of the Civil War Roundtable of Eastern Pennsylvania. He was on Catasauqua Borough Council in the 1950s and again in the 1970s. He was a member of Catasauqua Exchange Club for more than 50 years and was a recipient of the Good Deed Award.
He is survived by three children, Jane Lambert of St. George, Utah; E. David III and his wife Cecilia Gervasi of Richboro and Lisa Kirchner and her husband Albert of Annapolis, Md.; three grandchildren, Mathew McArdle, Eric Lambert and Gretchen Lambert; and a sister, Paulina Tyson of Duxbury, Maine.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Rebecca Lambert.
