Darlene May Schlegel, 72, of Whitehall, died Jan. 12, 2021, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, Bethlehem.

Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Elwood and Suzanne (Smith) Arey.

She attended Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Northampton.

She is survived by a son, David L. Schlegel Jr. of Whitehall; two daughters, Judith and Jennifer; three brothers, David and Yvonne Arey and Edward Arey, all of Northampton, and Daniel Arey of Catasauqua; three sisters, Linda and her husband George Hohl of Coplay, Kathleen Arey of North Catasauqua and Kristine and her husband Kenneth Moyer of Walnutport; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.
