Mary C. Elliott, 71, of Hellertown, died January 25, 2021, while in the care of Lehigh Valley Hospital Oncology Unit. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late John and Veronica (Sedlock) Glam. She was the wife of Deacon Donald W. Elliott for 46 years.
She was a 1967 graduate of Catasauqua High School.
She worked in sheet sales at Bethlehem Steel for 15 years. She later was the secretary of Holy Ghost R. C. Church, Bethlehem, where she was a former C.C.D. teacher and the Director of Religious Education for 15 years before she retired.
She was a parishioner of Assumption B.V.M. Catholic Church, Bethlehem, where she was a lector, an Eucharistic Minister, and was involved with the welcome committee and the Little Peoples Church and other parish committees. She ran the annual Easter egg hunt and the visit with Santa events for parish children.
She was a St. Luke’s Hospice volunteer with both the office and at The Hospice House for more than 20 years. She volunteered at DeSales University for the Shakespeare Festival and other events.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Katherine Walsh (Timothy) of Bethlehem; a son, Stephen Elliott (Elizabeth) of Hellertown; two brothers, John Galm (Deb) and Jerome Galm (Sue); two sisters, Veronica Galm and Teresa Dalrymple (Larry); a sister-in-law, Diane; and four grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan and Andrew Walsh and Lily Elliott. She was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Galm.
