Theft

Two necklaces, with a total value of approximately $10,500, were removed from Kay Jewelers, 707 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, 4:10 p.m. Jan. 13, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. In a media release, state police outlined the incident as follows: A white male entered the jewelry store and asked to look at two necklaces, one 22 inch 8.5 MM yellow gold necklace, valued at $6,299.99 and one 22 inch 6.8 MM yellow gold necklace, valued at $4,199.99. Once the necklaces were placed on the store display counter the male grabbed the jewelry and fled the area in a dark colored SUV, possibly a Subaru. The male is described as about 5 feet 11 inches tall with an average build. He was wearing a black Boston Red Sox baseball hat, a blue shirt and jeans and black sneakers. A woman selling gold jewelry approached a male in the parking lot of Walmart, 1091 Mill Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 3:30 p.m. Dec. 21, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The woman told the man the jewelry was 18 carat gold, which was later found to be false. The total loss to the buyer was $360. Theft from vehicle

A catalytic converter was removed from a 1998 Ford vehicle while it was at Dunkin’, 4030 Chestnut St., Upper Milford Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Nov. 28, 2020.

A catalytic converter, valued at $500, was removed from a business vehicle at Allentown Tables, 4550 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Dec. 18, 2020. The catalytic converter may have been removed Dec. 17, 2020.

Harassment

A 28-year-old male, of Macungie, allegedly struck a woman in the face at a location in the 3600 block of Clauss Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 5:50 p.m. Dec. 24, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.

Recovered vehicle

Investigation by Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville of an apparent abandoned vehicle found near the intersection of Buckeye Road and Tank Farm Road, Upper Milford Township, 1:51 p.m. Dec. 19, 2020, revealed the vehicle was stolen earlier the same day from Alburtis borough. The vehicle was returned to the registered owner.

Burglary

Three men allegedly broke into approximately 59 storage lockers at Trexlertown Self Storage, 1455 Trexlertown Road, Lower Macungie Township, overnight Jan. 10, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 11:53 a.m. Jan. 10. It is believed the males were responsible for a similar incident in Bath recently.
