Salisbury High School names student of the week
Q. In what grade are you currently enrolled?
A. I am currently in 12th grade at Salisbury High School.
Q. Who is in your family? Please provide the first names of your family members: parents, siblings and pets.
A. My family consists of my mother, Maria, my father, Joe and my cat Oreo.
Q. What is your favorite subject? Why?
A. My favorite subject this year is media management because I love to learn about production and how to produce modern films and any type of film. It has gotten me better at editing and making movies, shows and skits.
Q. Have you received any special awards or recognition?
A. I received honorable mention my sophomore year and then second team my junior year.
Q. Are you involved in any extracurricular activities? How has COVID-19 impacted these activities?
A. I am involved in club sports including the 2003 U18 Olympic Development Program and Western Lehigh United. COVID-19 has affected our playing greatly. We are forced to wear masks in games and our schedules have been ruined since this started.
Q. What is your next goal after high school?
A. My next goal after high school is to go to get a 4-year degree at college and take medical/health studies. I want to still be playing soccer for the college I attend. Then after to get a good job in my field.
Q. What do you consider your biggest challenge to date?
A. My biggest challenge to date is having to deal with schooling and academics while still having other huge commitments, including soccer and family.
Q. For what would you like to be remembered?
A. I would like to be remembered for my capability of hard work and completing every goal to my full potential. I want people to remember that in all I had a heart for everything that was important to me.
Q. Whom do you admire? Why?
A. I admire both of my parents the most because of the enormous amount of encouragement and support through my high school career and growing up. My dad and mom have pushed me through every goal academically and athletically.
Q. Do you have any advice for your peers?
A. My advice for my peers is to immediately take the opportunities that come their way and to never wait until the last minute to complete things. Get it all done and squared away to your full potential so that in the end you can feel good. Once it becomes too late it isn’t a good feeling to feel behind.
