Robert G. Harman MD, 89, of Allentown, died Jan. 19, 2021, in the Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital.

He was the husband of the late Roberta L. (White) Harman, who died in 2017.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Golden D. and Sallie M. (Shirk) Harman.

He was a member of Christ Evangelical Congregational Church, Allentown.

A summa cum laude graduate of Temple University with a Doctorate in medicine, he was a physician at the Trexlertown Medical Center, where he was a founding partner.

He could often be found, during his rare downtime, riding his beloved horse Duke.

An avid golfer, he and his wife split their time between Allentown and their home in Florida.

His survivors include a son Robert D. and his wife, Lisa, of Morehead City, N.C.; grandchildren Jennifer Harman Gaskill, Randy Jackson and Robert G. Harman II; and great-grandchildren Laurana, Harper, Andrew and Lily.

He was predeceased by a son, Michael, and brother Sturley.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church, 2135 W. Tilghman St., Allentown, PA 18104.

Private burial services will be at Grandview Cemetery, South Whitehall.
