Lower Milford Township supervisors hold reorganization meeting

The Lower Milford Township Board of Supervisors met Jan. 4 to reorganize and announce appointments.

Supervisor Donna Wright was re-elected as chair. Supervisor Ellen Koplin was re-elected as vice-chair. Stacy Smith was appointed as secretary and Wendy Stryker was appointed as treasurer.

The board of supervisors meeting times were announced. The workshop meeting will take place on the first Thursday of each month and the regular meeting will take place on the third Thursday of each month. The meetings begin 6:30 p.m.

All appointments to commissions and boards were kept the same as they were for 2020, with the exception of treasurer Wendy Stryker, though she already started by late last year.

For resident appointments, Lowell Linde was appointed to the vacancy board. John Harbove was appointed to the planning commission. Roger Hall was appointed to the zoning hearing board.

The Southern Lehigh Library Representative was not included on the original agenda. Ryan Fields’ letter of interest was added to the agenda at the meeting and he was reappointed.

A conditional use hearing was held. The application was to be advertised for the Jan. 21 regular meeting with an amended application to reflect additional relief the applicant needs. The board heard from the applicant, the applicant’s engineer, a prospective tenant of the property and from numerous residents.

The holiday schedule was approved as written with the removal of April 5 for Easter Monday.

Lower Milford Board of Supervisors meetings take place in person at the Lower Milford Township building. Attendees are required to wear a mask and the capacity is set at 25 people.
