Suzanne A. McGuire, 84, of Macungie, died Jan. 12, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Hagen B. McGuire. They were married for 31 years. She was also the wife of the late James L. Adams, who died in 1971. Born in Wilkes Barre, she was a daughter of the late Francis J. and Eleanor E. (Dougherty) Dooley.

She attended Allentown Central Catholic High School where she was a happy student and cheerleader.

Her first job after graduation was with Bell Telephone. Later she was employed as a secretary for Mack Trucks, retiring in 1990. She and her husband met at Mack Trucks. After retiring from Mack she earned her real estate license.

She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Allentown.

She was a voracious reader, loved the many years spent at the beach in Ocean City, Md. and had immense pleasure of traveling extensively throughout the world, living in Singapore and Paris and marrying her husband in Singapore with a honeymoon in Bali.

She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Kathleen S. and her husband, Carl P. Shofkom, of Lancaster and her children, Adam L. and Kyle J. Szilagyi; a daughter, Sandra A. and her husband, J. Brian O’Haire, of Downingtown and their children, J. Brian Jr. and Gregory T. O’Haire; a son, James L. and his wife, Carol M. Adams, of Moorestown, N. J. and their daughter, Sarah J. Adams; a stepson, Kurt H., of Easton and his son, Ian; sisters, Kathleen Epstein, of Allentown, Mary and her husband, Bart Beier, of Pittsburgh, Eleanor Schnellman, of Allentown; a sister-in-law Patricia Dooley; many nieces and nephews; a soon to arrive, great-grandson, Malcolm. She was predeceased by a brother, Francis J. Dooley.

A Mass of Christian Burial and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were made by the Stephens Funeral Home, Inc., Allentown.
