Sterling C. Gogle Sr., 96, of Catasauqua, died Jan. 9, 2021, from complications of COVID-19 at Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Margaret “Peggy” S. Gogle for 72 years.

Born in Schoenersville, he was a son of the late Charles S. and Mabel M. (Hess) Gogle.

He was an automotive machinist at Dave’s Auto Parts for 45 years.

He was a lifelong member of Christ United Church of Christ, Schoenersville, where he was a president and an elder of the church consistory. He played in the church dart baseball league.

He is survived by daughters, Barb and her husband Chuck Woodley, Pam and her husband Craig Seyfried and Kim and her husband Scott Scheirer; a son, Sterling C. Jr.; six grandchildren, Kara, Brett, Jared, Craig, Dawn and Lauren; 11 great-grandchildren and two on the way; a sister, Florence Gogle; and a sister-in-law, Edith Gogle.

He was predeceased by a brother, Alfred; and a sister, Dorathea.

Services will be held at a future date.
