Lehigh County will be hosting its 2021 Citizens Academy for all residents Feb. 4 through April 8.
The weekly seminars will be hosted by Lehigh County department heads and row officers as they present educational information pertaining to their respective departments and agencies. All sessions will be free and open to the public.
Each session will be held 6-8 p.m. virtually via Zoom on Thursday nights in a webinar-style format.
Frank Kane, director of community and economic development, will speak Feb. 4.
Ed Hozza, director of administration, will speak Feb. 11.
Kim F. Makoul, Esq., Lehigh County chief public defender, will speak Feb. 18.
Jason Cumello, administrator and director of Cedarbrook, will speak March 4.
Kay Achenbach, Lehigh County director of human services, will speak March 11.
Rick Molchany, director of general services, will speak March 18.
Timothy Reeves, Lehigh County chief financial officer, will speak March 25.
Janine Donate, director of corrections, will speak April 1.
Lehigh County row officers, such as sheriff, coroner or controller, will speak April 8. The exact details of the speakers will be announced at a later date.
Lehigh County residents are encouraged to attend these webinars to learn more about the functions of their county government and what to expect in the coming year. Zoom links will be available on the Lehigh County website, lehighcounty.org, prior to each session.
