Clayton E. Jones

Clayton E. Jones, 87, of Macungie, died Jan. 23, 2021, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Allentown campus, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Kay S. (Olsen) Jones. They were married for 67 years last April. Born in Fort Monroe, Va., he was a son of the late Walter E. and Irene (Tomes) Jones.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Korean Conflict.

He was a computer service manager for Dataline, New Canaan, Conn., before retiring. He and his wife moved from New York to the Lehigh Valley after retirement to be closer to their family.

He was an active member of the Millbrook Chase community and served on numerous committees.

He enjoyed building and flying radio control airplanes and was a member of the Kutztown Flying Field Club. He enjoyed gardening as well as singing with Summer Harmony. His love for the Lord led to his involvement with various men’s Bible study groups. He and his wife enjoyed visiting and spending time with their family throughout the United States.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Steven E. and his wife, Denise M., of Seneca, S.C.; daughters, Kathleen and her husband, Dennis M. Seehaus, of Palm Bay, Fla., Karen Hustedt, of Alburtis; Wendy and her husband, Robert T. Von Holt, of Fogelsville; grandchildren, Kyle (Ashley), Brenda (Max), Matthew (Summer), James, Kimberly (Andrew), Carly, Katie, Megan (Matthew), Jenny and Emily; eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Jefferson J. (Bobbie); a great-granddaughter, Skylar M.
