Basil D. Smith Jr., 77, of Upper Milford Township, died Jan. 24, 2021, at ManorCare Health Services, Allentown. Born in Zionsville, he was the son of the late Basil D. and Mabel F. (Diehl) Smith.

He was employed at Seem Farm for many years and worked as a handyman for several years. He also raised Fancy Bantam show chickens for many years.

He was a member of Powder Valley Fish & Game and was a former member of the Upper Milford Mennonite Church.

He is survived by siblings, Phyllis Hoch, Jeanette Lagler, Fay Wunderly and Irene Frederick; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Arbie Gruber and Julia Kline.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Jan. 30 at the Upper Milford Mennonite Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at the next family reunion. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Homes, Emmaus.
