North Catasauqua Police Department responded Jan. 17 to a reported assault, and possible stabbing, in the 1000 block of Third Street.

Upon arrival, approximately 2:30 p.m., officers found a male who had been stabbed in his left shoulder. Northampton Regional EMS transported him to a hospital for treatment.

A female at the Third Street home was transported to the North Catasauqua Police Department and subsequently arrested for her involvement. Her name and the charges against her have not been released.

The investigation is continuing. According to the report, no further information will be released at this time.
