Thanks to a strong showing in the Pennsylvania DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) District 7 Conference, which was held December 2020, three students from Catasauqua High School and Lehigh Career & Technical Institute’s DECA chapter have qualified for the state contest, which will be held in February.

This year’s District 7 Conference was a virtual event because of the coronavirus pandemic; competitors took tests and joined in role-play scenarios online.

Congratulations to Jorry Cene, third place, Principles of Business Management (Marketing & Business Education); Stella Jones, third place, Chapter Banner Digital Pilot Event (Advertising Design/Commercial Art); and Jevon White, third place, Principles of Hospitality (Marketing & Business Education).

All schools in the Catasauqua Area School District will be closed Jan. 25 for an Act 80 day.
