Holy Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 604 Fourth St., Catasauqua, has a long history of community-centered charitable giving. This holiday season, the Holy Trinity crew stepped up and partnered with other community groups to hold a Christmas event Dec. 23, 2020.
Holy Trinity coupled its regular Coffee With a Cop program with its new Soup on Wednesdays initiative - and added a Christmas twist.
Suburban North Family YMCA took part in the event, bringing gifts for local children.
Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived at the event on a Catasauqua Fire Department truck. Members of Catasauqua Police Department, including Chief Douglas Kish, were in attendance to assist with giving out cookies, cocoa, coffee and more.
Fred Knauss, with Holy Trinity, had a pot of turkey soup and Christmas cookies.
