Eddie P. Zettlemoyer, 67, of New Tripoli, died Jan. 17, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

He was the husband of the late Barbara T. Zettlemoyer, who died only two days before him on Jan. 15, 2021.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Edwin P. and Alice K. (Leibensperger) Zettlemoyer.

A 1971 graduate of Kutztown Area High School, he later was a self-employed home improvement contractor in the Lehigh County area for many years until retiring in 1996.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and educating himself on the customs and beliefs of his American Indian heritage.

His survivors include sons, Richard H. (Rita) Reinhart and Russell J. (Millie) Rogers, all of New Tripoli; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister Kathryn A. Shirey of Temple. He was predeceased by his brother Irwin Zettlemoyer.

There will be a joint memorial service for him and his wife 11 a.m. Jan. 23 in Hope Community Church, 7974 Claussville Road, Fogelsville, with the calling period to begin at 10 a.m.

COVID-19 restrictions will be adhered to. the Rev. Ken Kalisz will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Wolf Sanctuary of Pennsylvania, 465 Speedwell Forge Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
