Shirley “Mama” Mohring, 81, of Bethlehem, died Jan. 3, 2021, in her home. Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Josephine (Chase) and Alexander J. Bellen. She was the wife of the late Daniel R. Mohring for 54 years.

She worked at DeSales University, the Alcohol and Drug Dependence Center in Bethlehem for 10 years; and before that she worked for Dr. Stanley Stein and Dr. Richard Stein, both in Bethlehem.

She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Seif and her husband Bruce, and Cheryl Jacobs and her husband Keith; two sisters, Sandra Peischl and Sharon Stauffer and her husband Michael; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Joan Deasey.
