Alejandrino Trujillo Sr. owned Mi Terra Supermercado

Alejandrino Trujillo Sr., 89, of Bethlehem, died Jan. 6, 2021 in his home. Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Antonio and Ignacia (Cardona) Trujillo. He was the husband of Carmen Luz Trujillo for 29 years and of the late Rosa M. Trujillo.

He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He owned and operated Supermercado Mi Tierra (formerly Price-Rite Market) for 55 years until he retired.

He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church, where he was a founder of the Cursillo de Cristianda and a leader of the Holy Name Society of Jesus. He was a founder the Puerto Rican Beneficial Society, Bethlehem; and the Spanish Council.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Uriel and his wife Sarath; and Alejandrino Jr. and his fiancée Lilliana Soto, all of Bethlehem; two stepchildren, Jose Antonio Ortiz and his wife Jodi and Annette Petrillo; three siblings, Luis Trujillo, Ersito Trujillo and Jesus Trujillo; four grandchildren, Natasha Trujillo-Ruiz and her husband Maximino Jr., Marissa Ortiz, Sofia Trujillo and Eva Trujillo; a great-grandson, Maximino Ruiz; nieces; and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sons, Axel Trujillo and Luis Trujillo; and seven siblings, Gerardo Trujillo, Clara Trujillo, Moises Trujillo, Leocadio Trujillo, Hermenehildo Trujillo, Gumercinda Trujillo and Herminia Trujillo.
