Steve Nathaniel Austin, 29, of Hamburg, was taken into custody after he allegedly threatened another person in an incident at TD Bank, 5980 Hamilton Blvd., Lower Macungie Township, 10:53 a.m. Dec. 31, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
DUI
Matthew Michael Hoffman, 40, of Allentown, was placed under arrest for allegedly driving under the influence and possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at the intersection of South Krocks Road and Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 12:25 a.m. Nov. 29, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Assan Sohna, 18, of Alburtis, allegedly was driving under the influence when he crashed a vehicle in the 8000 block of Spring Creek Road, Lower Macungie Township, 6:51 p.m. Dec. 2, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Burglary
Three vehicles were stolen from Makyen Auto, 3851 Main Road East, Upper Milford Township, as part of a burglary overnight Dec. 29, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported 10:15 a.m. Dec. 30, 2020. Vehicles missing include a 2014 gray Chevrolet, a blue and white Suzuki Suzulight and a black and blue Kawasaki. The investigation continues.
Accident
Two people were hurt, one possibly seriously, in a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of Spring Creek Road and Trexlertown Road, Lower Macungie Township, 12:47 p.m. Dec. 21, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. A 2020 Lincoln MKZ, operated by an Allentown man, 87, was traveling east on Spring Creek Road, preparing to make a left turn to continue north on Trexlertown Road. A 2020 GMC Terrain SUV, driven by an Alburtis man, 45, was traveling west on Spring Creek Road, continuing straight through the intersection. The car turned into the path of the SUV, according to police. The driver of the SUV, bystanders and troopers administered aid to the Allentown man until Macungie EMS arrived to care for the driver. The Allentown male was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for suspected serious injuries. The Alburtis driver also was transported for treatment to Lehigh Valley Hospital. The Lower Macungie Fire Department and Yocum’s Towing also responded.
A 54-year-old driver, of Quakertown, escaped injury when his pickup truck struck a boulder and flipped onto its passenger side in an accident in the 6300 block of Ridge Road, Upper Milford Township, 5:30 p.m. Dec. 16, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The vehicle was traveling south during heavy snowfall when the motorist lost control of the vehicle while attempting to negotiate a left curve. The truck slid into a tree after flipping onto its side. The motorist exited the vehicle and walked to a nearby residence to escape the snowstorm. The driver told police he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Mechanics Plus also responded.
A 51-year-old driver, of Schnecksville, escaped injury when his vehicle hit a utility pole in the 5300 block of Shimerville Road, Upper Milford Township, 2:07 p.m. Dec. 18, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The driver lost control of his vehicle on a patch of ice and traveled downhill before hitting the pole. The vehicle was towed from the accident.
Retail theft
Ramon Arturo Deleon, 27, of Allentown, allegedly removed two Dyson vacuums, each valued at $499.99, from Target, 749 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Deleon allegedly removed one vacuum 6:47 p.m. Nov. 16, 2020 and the second vacuum 4:57 p.m. Dec. 12, 2020.
Various clothing items, with an estimated value of $2,200, were removed from Dick’s Sporting Goods, 707 N. Krocks Road, Lower Macungie Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The incident was reported Nov. 25, 2020.
Theft
Four 20-foot pump jacks, valued at $2,500, were reported removed from a location in the 1500 block of Pinewind Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 4:42 p.m. Dec. 26, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The pump jacks were stacked against a residence at the location and may have been taken within the month of December 2020.
A person removed $550 cash from a bedroom in a residence in the 3600 block of Clauss Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 6 p.m. Oct. 30 and 4:30 p.m. Nov. 1, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Two political campaign signs were removed from the front lawn of a residence in the 2900 block of Sheffield Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 6 p.m. Oct. 24 and 8 a.m. Oct. 25, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
A political campaign sign, valued at $5, was removed and a sliding glass door and electrical wiring were damaged at a residence in the 4700 block of Hamilton Boulevard, Lower Macungie Township, 5:30 a.m. Oct. 23, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. Damage to the door was estimated at $900 and damage to the wiring was estimated at $10.
Attempted scam
An unknown person attempted to scam $2,000 from a resident of the 6900 block of Pioneer Drive, Lower Macungie Township, between 9:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and 3:44 p.m. Nov. 24, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
Assault
A 42-year-old female was hurt when an argument became physical at a residence in the 5000 block of Bridlepath Drive, Lower Macungie Township, 3:26 p.m. Dec. 6, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville. The female was transported to the hospital with neck pain.
Drug possession
Nicholas Ryan Andrews, 28, of Center Valley, allegedly had methamphetamine at a location in the 6000 block of Kings Highway South, Upper Milford Township, 7:41 p.m. Dec. 20, 2020, according to Pennsylvania State Police Fogelsville.
