Rosemary (Julo) Posocco, 92, of Allentown, formerly of Orefield, died on Jan. 6, 2021, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
She was the wife of the late Frank P. Posocco.
Born Aug. 17, 1928, in Coaldale, Schuylkill County, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Rose (Kovatch) Julo.
Her greatest love, utmost joy, and proudest accomplishment was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She always looked forward to cooking weekly Sunday dinners for her entire family.
An avid sports fan, she was regularly found in her kitchen enjoying watching Allen Iverson and the Sixers on the TV.
Active in the life of her church, she was a proud member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Orefield, where she sang with the choir, was a member of the Ladies Guild and a “double pinch” pierogi maker.
She touched the lives of many through her joy of baking, especially cakes, cookies and mini pretzels.
Her survivors include sons Frank J. Posocco (Sandy), David P. Posocco (Beth), James A. Posocco (Allison), and Robert F. Posocco (Dorothy), all of Allentown; siblings Peter Julo (Joan) of Germansville, John “Jack” Julo (Margaret Ann) of Allentown, Dolores DeLaurentis (Joe) of Spring City, and Anne Pollack of Allentown; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
