Roma F.E. Haas, 94, formerly of the Fullerton section of Whitehall, died Jan. 7, 2021, in Legend of Allentown, Macungie, with her sister, Sarae, at her side.
Born in Egypt, Whitehall Township, she was a daughter of the late Theodore F. and Florence (Crouthamel) Eberhardt.
The beloved wife of the late Robert P. Haas, she assisted in running their business, the Robert P. Hass Funeral Home, Fullerton, for more than 50 years.
Previously, she was a secretary for the Giant Portland Cement Company.
She was a past president of the Municipal Opera Company Association, as well as its youth theater, where she danced in the productions.
She was a charter member and past president of the Whitehall Exchangettes and past president of the Lehigh Valley Music Theatre.
For many years, she served on the board for the Whitehall Women’s Club.
She was also an honorary member of the Fullerton Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Fullerton, Whitehall, where she was a deaconess and the choir mother for the Cherub Choir. Her survivors include her sister Sarae Quinn and husband, Joseph, of Macungie.
She was predeceased by sisters Adeline Kohler and her husband, Paul, Eleanor Stahley and her husband, Kenneth, Loretta Kupsky and her husband William; brothers Ferdinand and his wife, Olga, Theodore and his wife, Emma; niece Tammy Grim; and nephew Errol Eberhardt.
Services will be private at her request.
