Faith Wesleyan Church celebrates Jesus’ birth with drive-through nativity

Members of Faith Wesleyan Church, Orefield, presented a drive-through Nativity during the evenings of Dec. 18 through Dec. 20, 2020.

The chapter of St. Luke, in the Christian Bible, was the source for the Nativity as celebrated throughout Christendom and throughout the world.

Faith Wesleyan Church members stayed true to the story as written by St. Luke in the latter half of the first century.

His description of the birth of the Christ Child was taken from eyewitnesses living at the time of Christ.

Faith Wesleyan Church member Becky Kemp portrayed Mary and daughter, Ellie, was the Angel Gabriel. Gabriel announced to Mary she would give birth to the Savior of the World.
Caesar Augustus, portrayed by Craig Moyer, decreed that all of the world would be registered. This compelled Mary and Joseph to travel to Bethlehem. Roman guards, played by Noah Kemp and Joshua Drummond, saw to Caesar's security.
It was a good time to be a merchant in Bethlehem. Denise Ryan, Deanna Steich, Liz Moyer, Janet Smith and William Beatty all portrayed merchants willing to barter with visitors while in Bethlehem.
Craig Smith was portraying a very happy inn owner who has filled his rooms with guests arriving for the census.

And angels portrayed by Adrianna Ortiz, Giavonna Ortiz, MaKayla Dana, Emmalynn Dana, (back row) Alicia Dana and Ruthy Wicker appeared to announce the Birth of the Christ Child
